Shaving, tweezing, waxing, sugaring-all are temporary fixes for unwanted hair. Elite iQ treatments offer quick, easy and customized laser hair removal for all skin types using smart technology. You can now permanently reduce unwanted hair with a treatment personalized to your specific desires. For best results multiple treatments are required.

  • Elite iQ is a high-power, dual-wavelength (Alexandrite and Nd:YAG) aesthetic platform capable of performing a wide variety of treatments. From hair removal to facial veins, sun damage, and wrinkles. The secret lies in the technology. Cynosure’s laser hair removal treatments target and destroy the hair cells responsible for hair growth without damaging the surrounding skin. The light absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle heats up and destroys it, so the hair does not grow back. The result is smooth, hair-free skin that lasts!

    Sessions are usually 15-60 minutes depending on the treatment area.

    • No waxing, tweezing or sugaring 4 weeks prior. Only shaving is allowed

    • Please shave treatment areas 24 hours prior to your appointment. Unshaved clients will be rescheduled. Razors are not provided in the clinics.

    • Avoid sun exposure 2 weeks prior

    • No spray tans or self tanner 2 weeks prior

    • Skin must be clean and free of makeup, moisturizers, lotions, oils, deodorant, sunless tanning products, numbing cream, etc. Products on the skin can increase the likelihood of adverse reactions from the laser.

    • Wear or bring loose fitting clothing (for body laser hair removal)

    • Mild redness and swelling of the hair follicles may occur (histamine reaction). This is normal and should lessen with time. Avoid picking or scratching the skin. A cool cloth or cool compress may be applied. Do not use ice.

    • To reduce heat retention, avoid tight clothing, boots, heated seats, hot baths, steam rooms, hot showers, saunas, etc. The body needs time to cool down after treatments to avoid complications.

    • Avoid sun exposure and other sources of UV light (tanning beds) for 14 days post-treatment.

    • Wear a mineral SPF 30+ daily

    • Avoid activities that increase body temperature for at least 2 hours after treatment, or longer if redness and bumps persist.

    • If redness, swelling, or itching continues, an over-the-counter cortisone cream and/or an oral antihistamine (Benadryl) may be used in addition to cool cloths and pure Aloe Vera gel. Do not apply ice or an ice pack directly to the treated areas.
